Ataie Toofan Toofan Ataie was born in Astara, Iran, and started playing guitar at age 17, working with Iranian singers including pop singer Googoosh. He started a band of his own and later became a singer before the Islamic revolution banned his music in 1979. He later lived and performed in London and Los Angeles, where he died 5 days after attending a music tribute in his honor.

Dean Eddie Eddie Dean was a country music singer and actor, appearing on the Grand Old Opry stage, and 57 movies (mostly "B" westerns such as "Check Your Guns" and "The Tioga Kid"). He wrote the songs "Hillbilly Heaven" and "One Has My Heart The Other Has My Name". He earned a CMA Pioneer Award, has a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Fame, and was one of the founders and a past VP of the Academy of Country Music.

Dillaway Donald Don Dillaway started his acting career in the 1920s, with his Broadway debut in The Backslapper (1925). In 1927, Dillaway was one of seven actors found guilty of participating in an obscene play, The Virgin Man. They received suspended sentences. He had prominent supporting roles in several films of the 1930s, including Pack Up Your Troubles in 1932, with Laurel and Hardy. His roles became gradually smaller in the 1940s and 1950s, usually uncredited bit parts including The Magnificent Ambersons and The Caine Mutiny. TV appearances include Maverick, Bonanza, Perry Mason, The Munsters, Run for Your Life, and The Big Valley. His final role before retiring in 1967 was in The Wild Wild West.

Forrest Steve Steve Forrest, born William Forrest Andrews, was an actor best-known as as Lt. Hondo Harrelson in TV’s S.W.A.T. in the mid-70s. Notable films were So Big (for which he won a Golden Globe), The Longest Day, North Dallas Forty, and Mommie Dearest. He had cameos in Spies Like Us and Amazon Women on the Moon, and the 2003 film version of S.W.A.T. One of his 12 siblings was film star Dana Andrews.

Nahan Stu Stu Nahan was an American TV sportscaster in Los Angeles from the 1950s through the 1990s. He grew up playing ice hockey, and was a star goalie at McGill Univ in Montreal. He signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL in 1946 but was assigned to the minor-league LA Monarchs. Nahan acted on a children's TV program portraying "Skipper Stu" in Sacramento in the 1950s, and worked for KCRA in Sacramento as a sportscaster. Nahan later moved near Philadelphia and hosted his own children's show as Captain Philadelphia, dressed in an astronaut outfit. He also provided the play-by-play for the Philadelphia Flyers, and called the Philadelphia Eagles games. He played a boxing commentator in the first six Rocky films, and a sportscaster in Fast Times at Ridgemont High and other movies and TV. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007.

Tanny Victor Victor Tanny, 1912-85, pioneered the movement of the male-only gym toward more user-friendly environs to include women. There were about 100 Vic Tanny centers nationwide at its peak. Some of his family members had changed their surname of Iannidinardo to "Ianni" due to the anti-Italian sentiment that accompanied World War II. Tanny crafted his professional name from the abbreviated surname.
