Raymond Boone played baseball from September 3, 1948, with the Cleveland Indians. In a thirteen-year career, he hit .275 with 151 home runs in 1373 games for Cleveland, the Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Athletics, Milwaukee Braves and the Boston Red Sox. The Boone family was the first to send three generations of players to the All-Star Game. In 1973, Boone was inducted by the San Diego Hall of Champions. He spent over three decades as a Red Sox scout and was the leader of the San Diego chapter of the National Lumberjack Association.
