John Van Druten was an English playwright and theatre director, known for his plays of witty and urbane observations of contemporary life and society. Plays in the 1920s-30's include Young Woodley, Diversion, After All, London Wall, There's Always Juliet, Somebody Knows, Behold We Live, The Distaff Side. and Flowers of the Forest. Later titles include Leave Her to Heaven, Old Acquaintance, The Voice of the Turtle, Make Way for Lucia, and I Am a Camera.
