Ernest Ford was a singer most known for recording 'Sixteen Tons'. He also was a DJ where he created his persona of 'Tennessee Ernie', and was a TV host. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and is in the Country Music HOF.

David Packard was an electrical engineer and co-founder, with William Hewlett, of Hewlett-Packard, where he served as president, CEO, and Chairman of the Board. He was US Deputy Secretary of Defense 1969-71 during the Nixon administration. Packard was President of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) from 1976-81, and was chairman of the Board of Regents from 1973-82. He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1988.

Shirley Temple was the number 1 child actress in the 1930 and 40s, including roles in Little Miss Marker, Curly Top, Heidi, The Blue Bird, and The Story of Sea Biscuit. 1934's Bright Eyes was her first movie with her name above the title, and contained the famous "On the Good Ship, Lollipop" song. At age 5, she presented the best actress oscar to Claudette Colbert. She married 24 year old actor John Agar when she was 17, and much later, businessman Charles Black. She later ran for Congress, then became the US Ambassador to Ghana and also to Czechoslovakia.
