Frank Coghlan was a silent-movie child actor, who later played young Billy Batson/Capt Marvel in the landmark 1941 serial "Adventures of Captain Marvel." A naval aviator during WWII, Coghlan continued as the Navy's Hollywood-based liaison for motion pictures, television and radio. After retiring as a lieutenant commander in 1965, he resumed his acting career, mainly in commercials. He also worked in public relations for the LA Zoo and the Port of Los Angeles.
