121223-2889EddieFisher Singer Eddie Fisher got his big break in 1949 on Eddie Cantor's radio show. After the Korean war, Fisher became one of the last great young crooners of the pre-rock and roll period, with 35 recordings making the Top 40. He had two variety shows on TV, and was the national spokesman for Coca-Cola. He left his first wife, actress Debbie Reynolds for recently widowed Elizabeth Taylor, and after the famous Taylor-Fisher divorce, married Actress Connie Stevens. He has two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

121225-3276JohnDolbeer John Dolbeer teamed with William Carson in 1864 to form the Dolbeer and Carson Lumber Company. He invented a 'steam donkey', which would move giant logs across long distances, and a device used for the measured footage of timber cut by a sawmill.

121225-3277LillieCoit Lillie Coit loved the volunteer fire department. When she was 15, she helped pull a struggling Knickbocker Engine No. 5 up Telegraph Hill, and was adopted as the company's mascot. She left one third of her fortune to the city of San Francisco, which was used for Coit Tower, and for a firemen statue in Washington Square.

141025-6831HarryTyrrell Harry Tyrrell was a charter member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and painted murals in the homes of several movie stars including Mary Astor and Will Rogers. In 1930 he settled in San Francisco. He was a superb horseman and for years rode with the San Mateo County Sheriff's Mounted Patrol and often rode with his friend actor Leo Carillo in parades and pageants throughout the state. 141025-6833NickTraina Nicholas John Steel Traina was the lead singer for the punk band Link 80. He started his first band, Shanker, at age 13 with Max Leavitt. He joined Link 80 at age 16. Son of writer Danielle Steel and her third husband. He had a number of psychiatric hospitalizations for drug abuse and treatment of bipolar disorder. Traina died at age 19 of a morphine overdose.
