In the late '60's, I stayed here at 222 Central one summer.

Subsequently, an owner/renter turned it into some kind of John Steinbeck museum.

My mom, the botanist, picking plants. The museum focused on a peripheral aspect of Steinbeck's writing (King Arthur legend) and so a coat of arms can be seen on the chimney. Apparently the house may be torn down in the near future.

Passed by this a couple times while trying to find it :-( Took my mom here for her 83rd birthday.
